My baby girl was adopted into the perfect home within two weeks of posting on Rescue Me. She is truly in the best place imaginable and while I will miss her, I am so happy she found her new family.

Daisy was a service dog by chance. Her owner is deaf and she learned to signal him for many things through her five years of service. But he then went blind. Daisy tried to guide him for a year, on walks and through his new very small room/apartment. She ended up hurt and so did he. I was asked to take her to the shelter, a blessing in disguise. They were full of natural disaster animals. Our hero, Carol, saw our Rescue Me post. Her husband, still heartbroken by the loss of their Border Terrier, took some convincing. The month at my house with small children, a puppy and two cats did wonders. We went to meet Carol, who brought her husband and the trial period became Daisy's retirement forever home. Now she goes on six mile morning walks on the beach where there are always other dogs to romp with and also get to play with a four year old granddaughter. Thank you Jesus, Carol and Joe! Also, thank you Rescue Me and the dog walker, Penny, who posted a video! Blessings!

Thank you so much, Rescue Me! Because of this website, and so many responses so quickly, my Dad's little Border Terrier was returned to her original breeder. (The kindest woman with an even kinder heart) Tess in now comfortable hanging out with a few other 'senior' dogs where she can live out her 'golden years' discussing the unseasonably hot weather; the better meal options she has now and how noisy her previous home's Grandkids were. You all are angels for being so willing to help. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart and I know my parents' hearts.

I was so very happy to find my new babe on Rescue Me. I had two mini Schnauzers who had been raised together since eight weeks old. This summer, we lost our sweet Bella to pancreatitus. Both Willi (my male Schnauzer) and I were heartbroken. He had never been alone in his life. I immediately began searching for a companion for him. I came across the Rescue Me website and found Bandit. He was rescued from a Walmart parking lot. He is a treasure for both myself and Willi. Thank you for sponsoring this site Mr. Gold. I could immediately contact the foster mom who listed him on your site and found that we lived only a few miles apart. Bandit is a very happy boy.

All these sweet pups deserve a caring and loving home and pet-parents. So tell your friends to please ADOPT not SHOP for pups.

Rescue Me is so wonderful because you get to see all the different types of breeds there are then can see what is available in your state. I was originally looking for a Border Collie and never heard of a Border Terrier so clicking there got me my new best friend. I recommend these types of rescue sites to anyone I know looking for a new pet. Thank you to everyone who helps rescue animals!

We have been looking for a smaller dog to add to our family. Our beloved rescue toy poodle died in October 2012 and we have missed having a small dog. We found 'Pippa' on Rescue Me! and got connected with the shelter. It was a whirlwind day! We were on the phone making arrangements at 1:30 and on the road for the 2 1/2 drive to the shelter by 2:00! The shelter people were awesome and permitted us to take Pippa with us even though she was not yet spayed, which a requirement for adoption. This meant Pippa did not have to stay at the shelter and we did not have to make another five hour round trip in a few days. They micro-chipped her while we waited. We signed papers agreeing to get her spayed, and will fax confirmation once the procedure has been performed. We realize the trust involved in doing this, and will get her spayed ASAP. Pippa has been renamed Grace and is already part of the family. She loves to snuggle and is having fun exploring her new home. Grace has three rescue dogs and one rescue cat for company in her new home! She is learning to use the doggie door so she can come and go from the house to our fenced back yard as she chooses. The shelter folks told us all the smaller dogs had been taken home that day and no one was giving Pippa much attention. We are thrilled to give Pippa her forever home!

Rescue Me! is a fantastic resource for getting adoptable pets photos and information out to the public. I had been fostering Bailey for a couple of months before finding out about this web site and, although she was advertised on a couple of well known pet finder web sites, it was not until I posted her on Rescue Me! that I began having a lot of interest and calls about her. She found her home not long after posting on this site, and will be enjoying a happy life with people who love her. Thank you for this service! I have let others who are fostering know about this wonderful resource.
