Rescue Me ID: 17-04-27-00209Fling (male)

Border Terrier Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Fling a brand new puppy to K-9 Angels. He is being fostered with his sister Spring. They are named after our awesome Spring Fling we just had! :) So far their foster says they are very playful, working on potty training and get along with other dogs! We will update his bio as we get to know him better. Fling is a Male Terrier Mix that we estimate to be around 9 weeks old. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please fill out an application on our website ... (Read More)http://www.k-9angelsrescue.org/adoption_process_k-9_angels_rescue.html. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. However, we only adopt young puppies locally, due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready. NOTE: All dogs are officially the property of K-9 Angels Rescue until they are altered by our veterinarian. Please LIKE and share our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/k9angelsrescue. Thank you! Rescue Me ID: 17-04-24-00099Romy (female)

Border Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Who can resist that face??? And what's better is that she has a great personality to go with her adorable looks! Romy is an absolute doll of a girl. She is a 18 month old Affenpinscher/Border Terrier mix. She is super sweet and her tail never stops wagging. She's not a big player, and sometimes has to let her foster brother know that she's not in the mood to play. What she loves to do is cud dle! Romy has good manners and does her business outside and sleeps well in the crate. Unfortunately, whoever had Romy before didn't give her heartworm prevention and she is heartworm positive. Heartworms are treatable and K-9 Angels will cover the cost ... (Read More)of treatment. She had a bit of a rough time when she was spayed as she had a reaction to her anesthetic. She still has the staples so is kind of sore. Despite all this, Romy is so good-natured and just wants to be loved. Please come see Romy this weekend at the adoption center! PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please fill out an application on our website http://www.k-9angelsrescue.org/adoption_process_k-9_angels_rescue.html. Rescue Me ID: 17-04-12-00067Steeler (male)

Border Terrier Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hello! My name is Steeler, and my foster mommy says that my brother and I are the sweetest puppies ever! I am curious and love to explore my new backyard with my brother. My foster mommy has two big dogs of her own, and I love playing tug-of-war with them and chasing them in the yard. I can be a bit of a bully to my brother sometimes, always thinking that I am the boss. She separate s us at mealtimes so that I don't take all of the food! My tail is always wagging and I am very playful. I love to follow my humans all over the house, and I come quickly when they whistle for me. I sleep in a crate at night and during the day while my humans are ... (Read More)at school and work, and I haven't had an accident in my crate yet! I cry for a while when I first go in my crate, but I soon quiet down and sleep all through the night. That makes everyone happy! I have mastered the doggie door (that was ssooooo easy) and am working hard on my housebreaking. I always go potty when we go outside, but I am only 10 weeks old so I still have some work to do on holding it in the house when I am out of my crate. My human foster brother loves to lie on the floor and let me cover him with puppy kisses. Those times are the best. Steeler is a Male Jack Russell Terrier/ Border Terrier Mix that we estimate to be around 10 weeks old and currently weighs close to 10 lbs. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. Rescue Me ID: 16-11-29-00029Billy (male)

Border Terrier Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Billy was dumped at a high kill shelter by his previous owner. He was suffering from a severe case of non-contagious mange, had no hair on part of his back from a terrible flea allergy, and he had a large tumor hanging off his back side. Since coming into a loving foster home, all of his health conditions have been remedied, (the tumor surgically removed) - (it was benign) and had his teeth cleaned. I promised Billy that he would never spend one more day of his life as anything but a much loved and pampered member of a family. Billy deserves nothing less than a warm, cozy bed, a nice fenced yard to lounge about and all the good food and ... (Read More)treats he loves. Billy is very quiet and sleeps most of the day in his bed, although he does like to take naps in the sun. He would do best in a home without a lot of commotion and noisy children. He likes women more than men, although he is not afraid of men. After all he was made to suffer at the hands of his previous uncaring owner, Billy deserves the best. If you can offer this precious, loyal companion what he needs, please contact me for an application. (Less)

Border Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Malnourished,
 Abused/Neglected

Hi there! My name's Bandit and I came to MJ REALLY skinny and scared. You can't even tell now! I'm so happy to run and play and I'll scarf up my food as soon as you put it down! I can sometimes be a little TOO happy and I'll jump up and give you kisses (sometimes I jump TOO high and give people a love headbutts!). With a little work I promise I won't jump up like I do! But I'm so happy that I'm here and will one day find my forever family! I get along with most dogs but a meet and greet would still be best since I'm just so happy and can play a little rough!

PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Terrier in Texas
Border Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. Border Terriers are spunky, lively little dogs. They are eager to please and very friendly. Border Terriers get along with children, other dogs, and will do okay with cats if they are raised alongside them from the time they are puppies. Border Terriers cannot be trusted with other small animals or unfamiliar cats. Border Terriers need a lot of attention and should not be left alone for long periods of time. If they need to be left alone during the day, it is helpful to have two Border Terriers, especially if one is male and one female. Fences should be reinforced at the base because Border Terriers are enthusiastic diggers. Border Terriers do fine living in an apartment or somewhere with a small yard, as long as they get enough exercise.
