|Rescue Me ID: 16-08-27-00014Melonie (female)|
She is the tan dog in the picture. We call her Melon. Melon is a rescue from the local animal shelter. Her owner let her run the neighborhood and when the dog catcher caught her the owner relinquished rather than pay the Fine. Melon has just been spayed. She has a chip and is up to date on her rabies shot. She is a terrier mix. She loves people. ...all people. She might be a little wary at first but quickly becomes a good friend. She likes cats, dogs, and kids but can overwhelm small children. Melon loves to play games. She ̨s a fast learner. She likes to travel. Melon loves too cuddle and wants to sleep under the covers with you. She is an awesome friend and quickly becomes a family member. I would keep her but i have too many rescues. She needs her forever home soon. She is potty broke but you have to take her outside. Melon is an indoor dog and also loves outside time. She is close to a year old and still has some puppy in her. Melon loves too sit on the couch next to you with her head on your lap. She has big beautiful eyes. (Less)

|Animal ID: 629201602Courtesy Teddie (male)|
Courtesy Teddie is a 1-2 year old Terrier mix, he is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and Heart Worm negative. Teddie would do best with a single woman. He is a lovable lap dog, he will jump in your arms when he gets to know you, he is a good guard dog and he gets along with other dogs. But he is still a little shy and scared of things like a phone ringing and it takes them a few days to get use to someone new. Because of this he would do best without children. He will need a family willing to work on house training and a fenced yard for protection. Adoption fee is $75.00. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MEET ONE OF THE ANIMALS AND POSSIBLY ADOPT, PLEASE FILL OUT THIS FORM SO IT CAN BE SENT TO THE FOSTER. To save dogs from being euthanized we pull them from shelters and house them with fosters since we don't have a actual shelter. Most dogs are fostered in Stillwater or most German Shepherds are fostered in Tulsa area. http://www.adoptapet.com/cimarron-valley-humane-society-foster-based-rescue/ or email email@example.com. We do adopt out of state but we do not ship animals, If you want to adopt one of our animals, you must come to pick them up in Oklahoma. (Less)

Border Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Oklahoma if they match your IifestyIe. Border Terriers are spunky, lively little dogs. They are eager to please and very friendly. Border Terriers get along with children, other dogs, and will do okay with cats if they are raised alongside them from the time they are puppies. Border Terriers cannot be trusted with other small animals or unfamiliar cats. Border Terriers need a lot of attention and should not be left alone for long periods of time. If they need to be left alone during the day, it is helpful to have two Border Terriers, especially if one is male and one female. Fences should be reinforced at the base because Border Terriers are enthusiastic diggers. Border Terriers do fine living in an apartment or somewhere with a small yard, as long as they get enough exercise.
