Rescue Me ID: 18-01-02-00316CutiePie-lowered fee! (female)

Border Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Lil' miss CutiePie has made herself at home and she has been such a joy! So often we take dogs in from large shelters and their only issue is that they are simply overwhelmed with the shelter environment. Who can blame them, they had a home where they were loved and all of sudden they are surrounded by strange people and strange dogs. Makes me think of long ago when I took my 3 year old son to his first day of preschool, not a happy boy. He finally settled in and enjoyed himself just as Cutie has settled in here. She has let her hair down and we see her silly side and she has also made some great dog buddies! Cutie enjoys a little bit of ... She is a quiet girl, hasn't really barked, very polite and will need a dog savvy family to help her settle into their own home as well. Cutie is very loving and affectionate, but she needs a little time to get to know you. She should be OK around kids, we do not recommend little ones they cane be a little frightening to a shy dog. Cutie is about 2 years old and 23(thin) pounds. Her adoption fee is $299. Please email Kristine at joysparrows@gmail.com. (Less)

Ollie is an adorable yet hand-shy, 18-month-old, 20-pound, male fawn terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian. Ollie was rescued from Chicago Animal Care and Control by Famous Fido Rescue. He is extremely active and playful. He loves to play ball. But, due to his unknown past, he will snap if he is fearful. For that reason, he is best with adults and not children. PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Terrier in Illinois
Border Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Illinois if they match your IifestyIe. Border Terriers are spunky, lively little dogs. They are eager to please and very friendly. Border Terriers get along with children, other dogs, and will do okay with cats if they are raised alongside them from the time they are puppies. Border Terriers cannot be trusted with other small animals or unfamiliar cats. Border Terriers need a lot of attention and should not be left alone for long periods of time. If they need to be left alone during the day, it is helpful to have two Border Terriers, especially if one is male and one female. Fences should be reinforced at the base because Border Terriers are enthusiastic diggers. Border Terriers do fine living in an apartment or somewhere with a small yard, as long as they get enough exercise.
